Thank you.
What a sprint the last three months have been.
When I decided to run for the school board, you jumped in behind me, and I cannot be prouder of the grassroots campaign we waged.
The connections we made, the discussions we had and the questions we asked will all be taken with me in what happens next. My service does not end because my campaign is over.
To the other candidates: Thank you for making this a kind and supportive race. I am better because of all of you.
To Lora, Kate and James: A heartfelt congratulations to you all on your well-run campaigns and on your election to the school board. Our community is better because of you, and I look forward to seeing the impact you make. I’ll be cheering you on the whole way.
To those of you near and far who donated, phonebanked, knocked on doors, dropped literature, posted on social media, consulted on my campaign, placed yard signs, and so much more, THANK YOU from the bottom of my heart for offering your most precious commodity - your time - and the belief in a more connected, transparent and community-focused school board.
While the results weren’t what we hoped for, the work doesn’t end here. I’ll continue to be a voice for progress, inclusion, and open communication in our schools.
Thank you, Shaker, for believing in our shared vision. Let’s keep walking forward — together. ❤️
All my best,
